Climate
New Delhi, the capital of India, has a hot and humid climate
for most of the season. The city climate becomes very hot during
the month of June which is followed by monsoon happening somewhere
after September. Monsoon in Delhi is quite unpredictable where
you can't predict which way they will turn.

Weather
Winter in Delhi is very chilly which peaks in at the start of
November and continues till the month of February. The foggy
and chilly weather during winters makes Delhi's climate a tough
one to confront with. Delhi is situated on the banks of river
Yamuna with Himalayas being in the north of Delhi. This is the
main reason behind Delhi's climate being called as the "Continental
Climate".

Places
to See in Delhi
India Gate-Built as a memorial to commemorate the 70,000 India
soldiers killed in World War I, India Gate was designed by Sir
Edwin Lutyens and completed in 1931. Built from sandstone, the
arch also houses the Eternal Flame, a gesture in memory of the
Indian soldiers who laid their lives in the 1971 war with Pakistan.

Forts & Monuments
The Red Fort, with a circumference of over 2.2 kilometers, was
laid out by the banks of the Yamuna river in the 17th century.
The Mughal emperor Shajahan built it with the ambition of concentrating
the Mughal power in one monument. Monument is perhaps not the
right word. A mini-city is more like it.

Temples
