Lunana Snowman Trek

Duration: 24 Days/23 Nights Places Covered: Delhi - Paro Shana - Soi Thangthangkha -Jangtothang - Lingshi - Chebisa - Shomuthang - Shomu - Robluthang - Lemithang - Laya - Rodophu - Narithang - Tarina - Woche - Lhedi - Thanza - Tshochena - Jichu Dramo - Chukarpo - Tampetso - Maorothang - Nikachu - Chaza.

Day 2 : Paro - Shana
Early morning we shall drive towards Drugyel Dzong, the dead end of the road will be our trekking point, along the rivers and the hills we shall elevate crossing the cultivated valley. We shall camp near the army post. Overnight will be at the Camp.

Day 3: Shana - Soi Thangthangkha
Today we shall trek further along the river valley and reach Soi Thangthangkha, on reaching this beautiful place we shall camp in the lush meadow in a stone shelter.

Day 4 : Soi Thangthangkha - Jangothang
Early morning we shall depart for Jangothang, via Pa Chu Pass, that gives a magnificent view of soaring mountain peaks covered with layers of snow. Capture the herds of Yak. We shall camp at Jangothang for overnight stay.

Day 5: Jangtothang - Lingshi
After breakfast at the camp, we shall leave for Lingshi, on way capture the spectacular view of Lingshi Dzong, also the Tserim Kang glaciers are another wondrous feature of this place worth exploring. We shall camp in a warm stone shelter for overnight stay.

Day 6: Lingshi - Chebisa
We shall stroll for a 5-6 hr trekking venture to reach Chebisa, on reaching the small village, we can visit some village houses to relate to their way of authentic living. Overnight shall be spent at the camp near the village.

Day 7: Chebisa - Shomuthang
The seventh day of our trek we shall leave for Shomuthang, to reach here we shall cross high pastures land with lesser inhabitants. The trek will be via Gobula, we shall camp along the tributary of Mo- chu, below the Gasa Tsachu. Overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 8: Shomu - Robluthang
After a early breakfast at the camp we shall start early towards Robluthang, via Jare La Pass we shall open to Tsharithang, and later move towards Robluthang. Overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 9: Robluthang - Lemithang
The ninth day of our trekking venture we shall depart for Lemithang. We shall initially elevate as we cross Shingela pass and further stroll down in the Laya district that homes Lemithang. We shall camp below the great Tiger Mountain and have a pleasant overnight stay in the warm camps.

Day 10: Lemithang - Laya
Early morning we shall move down hill along the river valley, to the army campsite. Later trek westwards to Laya village where you get the opportunity to interact with the indigenous population of Laya. Overnight stay will be at the camp at Laya.

Day 11 : Laya - Rodophu
After having sumptuous breakfast we shall descend to the army camp, along the river till we reach Rodophu, after a halt for a while climb through the dense forest with Rhododendron bushes, on arrival at the camp we shall camp around the born fire for overnight stay.

Day 12 : Rodophu - Narithang
A little longer trek of 6-7 hrs today will arrive us at Narithang, across the Tsimola Pass. Overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 13 : Narithang - Tarina
As we almost reach the middle of our adventure tour, we get swifter with trekking ventures. Today we shall cross Gangla Karchung. The panaromic view of mountain ranges like the Masakhang, Tsendegang and Teri Gang are absolutely breathtaking.later a long descend will arrive us at Tarina valley. Overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 14 : Tarina - Woche
Early morning we shall walk on a much lesser challenging tract towards Woche. Overnights stay will be at the camp at Woche.

Day15 : Woche - Lhedi
Today we shall accelerate up to Kachela Pass and halt at the Thega village. To reach Lhedi we shall follow the river. On reaching Lhedi we shall camp here for overnight stay.

Day 16: Lhedi - Thanza
We shall continue our trek and head towards Thanza early morning. We shall first shove upwards upto Choejong village and later trek towards the wide valley, cross the bridge to reach Thanza Camp. Here you can explore the villages or hike around in the surroundings. Overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 17: Thanza - Tshochena
Early morning we shall depart for Tshochena, during the six-hour trek we shall cross Jazela Pass. On arrival, we shall spend the overnight at the camp.

Day 18: Tshochena - Jichu Dramo
A comparatively shorter trek to Jichu Dramo can be reached in 4 hrs via Lojula Pass. It will give enough time to explore the surroundings or just relax in the laps of the nature. Overnight stay will be at the Camp.

Day 19: Jichu Dramo - Chukarpo
Early morning we shall depart for Chukarpo via crossing the Rinchenzoe Pass. Overnight stay will be at the camp

Day 20: Chukarpo - Tampetso
A longer trek ahead shall be accomplished in 8 hours. We shall come across some beautiful passes like Tampela pass and Umtsho Lake before reaching Tampetso.

Day 21: Tempetso - Maorothang
Today, trek all the way downhill to reach the camp at Maorothang. We shall camp near the Nikka Chu River.

Day 22: Maorothang - Nikachu Chazam
The last day of our trekking adventure we shall wind our venture with a 7-hour trekking experience through the villages of Sephu. Overnight stay will be at the camp at Nikachu Chazam

Day 23 : Nikachu Chazam - Thimphu
After early breakfast we shall drive to Thimpu with a halt at Wangdi for lunch. On arrival you can indulge in some last minute shopping and purchase some beautiful handicraft items. Overnight stay will be at the Hotel.

Day24 : Thimphu - Paro Airport
We shall adieu goodbye to this land and head for Paro airport for your departure to your onward journey.
