Hemkund Sahib, is the highest Gurudwara in the world.
Situated at an altitude of 14,202 ft, it has a crystal
clear lake and a grueling trek. This salient feature of
Hemkund Sahib attracts several pilgrims as well as adventure
lovers in large number. The Hemkund Sahib Yatra is
a 8 Nights and 9 Days long Tour that will cover several
places, routing from Delhi - Rishikesh - Joshimath - Ghangaria-
- Hemkund - Ghangaria - Joshimath - Rishikesh - Delhi.
Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Arrive at the Delhi airport, where you shall be escorted
by our representatives and transfer you to the hotel.
Overnight stay will beat the hotel.
Day 02 : In Delhi
Early morning leave for a sightseeing excursion of
the Capital of India - Delhi, visit various monuments
and important sites of Indian history. Later if time permits
visit the main Gurudwaras in Delhi including Gurudwara
Bangla Sahib, Gurudwara Rakabganj, Gurudwara Sisganj,
Gurudwara Nanak Pio and Gurudwara Moti Bagh. Return to
the hotel for Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03 : Delhi - Rishikesh
After breakfast we shall drive towards Rishikesh to
enjoy some river rafting adventure and later visit Ashram
for some special Yoga and Meditation Classes. Visit the
Bharat Mata temple and Durga temple and take a dip in
the holy waters of the Ganges. Overnight stay will be
at the hotel.
Day 04 : Rishikesh - Joshimath
Morning after breakfast drive to Joshimath a small
town hill station, located on the mountain slopes along
the river Alaknanda and Dhauliganga. Joshimath is the
gateway to Hemkund Sahib. Overnight shall be spent at
Joshimath.
Day 05 : Joshimath - Ghangaria
The Journey begins with a drive to Govindghat, on
th ebanks of Alaknanada River, later cross the suspension
bridge over the river to reach the rugged Village of
Pulana. Experience a trekking adventure along the demarcated
trail of a vivid forest spread like oak and silver fur
as you wind over the Hem Ganga. Later trek down on an
ascending tract across the paddock of Ghangiria well
known as Goving Dham. It is also a prominent Pilgrim
complex, having a Gurudwara. Overnight shall be spent
at the Ghangira.
Day 06 : Ghangaria - Hemkund - Ghangaria
Early morning prepare to journey to Hemkund Sahib.
The route is notorious for its steep stretch of 5-km.
However devotees are filled with sense of spirituality
making the journey to the Gurudwara easy for them. The
pristine water of Hemkund is believed to have been the
place where the tenth Guru, Gobind Singh Sahib mediated
on the bank of this lake. Many devotees take a dip in
the cold holy waters of Hemkund. We shall return to
the Ghangaria for overnight stay.
Day 07 : Ghangaria - Joshimath
Today we shall trek back Joshimath, On arrival to
Govindghat drive to Joshimath and check-into the hotel.
There is an optional choice for tourists can go to Badrinath,
Kedarnath, Chopta, and Valley of Flowers on excursion
from Joshimath. Overnight stay will be at Joshimath.
Day 08 : Joshimath - Rishikesh
After Breakfast, its time to wind up the journey
on a return trip to Rishikesh, on arrival one can visit
the rest of other temples, participate in the evening
aarti or sail in the waters of the Ganges capturing
the sunset on the ghat. Overnight stay will be at the
hotel in Rishikesh.
Day 09 Rishikesh- Delhi
Early Morning, drive back to Delhi, upon arrival
you shall be transferred to the airport for your onward
journey.
