The exotic elephant festival is a 14 Nights / 15 Days
tour package the route map shall follow from Trivandrum
- Kovalam - Alleppey - Periyar - Munnar - Kumarakom -
Trissur - Cochin.
Day 01 : Arrive Trivandrum / Kovalam
Arrive at Trivanandrum where our representatives who shall
then drive you to Kovalam shall escort you. On arrival
you shall check into the beautiful beach resort and enjoy
the high tide winds. Overnight stay will be at the resort.
Day 02 : In Kovalam
The second day of our tour will be extremely delightful
along the Kovalam beach, later you can also visit the
Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple and the Art Museum. Return
to the resort for Overnight stay.
Day 03 : Kovalam / Alleppey
Early morning drive to Alleppey, on arrival check in
at the Coir Village. The rest of the day can be spent
at leisure. Overnight stay will be at Alleppey.
Day 04 : Alleppey / Kumarakom (House Boat)
Early morning we shall switch you onto a houseboat that
shall sway along the backwaters of Kerala passing by
the villages, coconut fringes, markets on the ridge,
Paddy fields and much more. Overnight stay will be at
Houseboat.
Day 05 : Arrive Kumarakom / Periyar
The fifth day of our tour we shall experience something
different as we head from Kumarakom to Periyar. At Periyar
we shall explore the Periyar wildlife sanctuary, floating
on the boat to explore the exotic jungles.Later visit
the aromatic Kumiley spice market. Overnight shall be
spent at Periyar.
Day 06 : Periyar / Munnar
Today we shall drive towards Kerala's beautiful hill
station Munnar famous for its tea and cardamom plantations.
Stroll along these plantations and later spend overnight
at Munnar.
Day 07: Munnar / Kumarakom
Early Morning, drive to Kumarakom, on arrival check
in at a resort for overnight saty. Kumarakom is an idyllic
floating Island situated on Vembanad Lake adjoining
bird sanctuary. you can visit the bird sanctuary or
indulge in Ayurvedic massages.
Day 08: In Kumarakom
Morning, you can visit the Churches and nearby village.
Later in the evening visit the Kottayam Thirunnakara
. Overnight stay will be at the resort.
Day 9: Kumarakom / Vaikom / Trissur
Morning leave for Trissur, enr-oute a country boat cruise
at Vaikom to experience the local life of Kerala. Here
you can see pottery, khadi weaving and coconut oil extraction.
Also enjoy a sumptuous traditional Kerala lunch served
on banana leaves. After lunch, proceed to Trissur and
on arrival check in at hotel. Spend the night in Trissur.
Day 10: In Trissur
Free to witness the Arattupuzha Pooram at Arattupuzha
temple. Arattupuzha Temple Pooram-Sixty one elephants
take part in this spectacular Pooram pageantry accompanied
by temple percussions. The Arattupuzha temple is dedicated
to Sre Ayyappa. The Pooram festival is a replication
of the annual visit of the deities of the neighbouring
temples. Hundred tuskers used to participate earlier.
Day 11: In Cochin
we shall guide you to Syro-Malabar Church later visit
the Mattancherry (Dutch) Palace and the Hill Palace
famous for the beautiful paintings. Overnight stay will
be at the hotel
Day 12: Depart from Cochin
Deart from kachi for onward journey.
