Delhi is a capital of Indian Tourism as well . Delhi is
connected by all the metro cities of India by super fast
trains. Delhi has 4 main Railway stations.
1- The Old Delhi Station,
2- the New Delhi Railway Station,
3- Hazrat Nizamuddin and the
4- Delhi Sarai Rohilla
Information about the Railway
Station
1.
Old Delhi Railway Station:
Location: It is located close to Civil Lines and
very close to Red Fort.
Description: It is also known as Delhi Railway
Station and was the first railway station to be built
in Delhi. It is located near the Chandni Chowk and is
about seven km far from Cannaught place (City Centre).
Old Delhi Railway Station comes under Northern Railways
and they provide all services to Old Delhi Railway Station.
2. New
Delhi Railway Station:

Location: 1 Km from city center "Connaught
Place" and East of Paharganj area known as a backpacker
hub.
Description: It is one of the major railheads of
Northern Railways. It connects Delhi with other parts
of the country through super fast and express trains.
This railway station provides computerized reservation
service and has a tourist information center.
3. Nizamuddin
Railway Station:
Location:
It is conveniently located close to South Delhi localities.
Being one of the major Station, it tends to connect all
the major cities.
Description: It is also served by northern railways.
Though a small place, the platform offers computerized
reservation. It is also connected to the station is the
famous Mathura road (National Highway). The two railway
stations near to Hazrat Nizzamudin are Delhi railway station
and New Delhi Railway station.
4. Delhi
Sarai Rohilla Railway Station:
Location:
Delhi Sarai Rohilla Railway Station is situated in
North Delhi District. The station is about 5 km west of
New Delhi Railway Station.
Description: It is also served by the North Western
Railways. Train connections include Bikaner-Delhi Sarai
Rohilla Link Express, Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Bikaner Mail,
Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Rewari Express, Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Jaisalmer
Express, Chetak Express and Avadh Assam Express.
It hosts trains mainly from Rajasthan and Haryana. Meter
gauge trains are available from here. Seat reservation
is computerized.
