The Buddhist Temples with East India Tour Package will
take you on a 15 nights and 16 days voyage, covering the
route map of Delhi - Varanasi -Bodhgaya - Patna -Kolkata
- Bagdogara - Darjeeling - Pelling (Pemayangtse)- Gangtok
- Kalimpong -Bagdogra - Delhi.
Day 1 Arrive in Delhi:
Arrive at the Capital of India- Delhi; meet our representatives,
who will assist your transfer to the hotel for an overnight
stay.
Day 2 Delhi:
Our day shall begin with a sightseeing excursion of
Delhi. Here we shall visit some historical sites including
Qutub minar, Red fort, Jama Masjid, India Gate and Humayun
Tomb all of them are among the magnificent structures
of art and architecture ever in the history of Delhi.
Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 3 Delhi- Varanasi:
Breakfast shall be served at the hotel, later we
shall depart you from Delhi to Varanasi via flight.
Our representative will be present to escort you to
the airport and transfer to the hotel to freshen up.
Later we shall proceed for excursion tour to Sarnath,
where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon. Also visit
several ancient Hindu temples that embark the spiritual.
Overnight stay will be at the Hotel.
Day 4 Varanasi:
Enjoy boating ride here in the river Ganges. See Aarti
(prayer) of Ganges, in the night this view is really
startling.Also visit The Vishwanath Temple & The
Dugra Temple The Benaras Hindu University has an art
gallery and a marble temple
Over night will be at the hotel.
Day 5-6: Varanasi- Bodhgaya:
Early morning after breakfast we shall depart for
the most worshipped city for Buddhist- Bodhgaya. We
shall thus visit the Thai temple and the Mahabodhi temple
complex. Bodhgaya is a small town in Bihar where Buddha
attained enlightenment and now is the most important
place of Buddhist Pilgrimage, drawing people from across
the globe. UNESCO declares Mahabodhi Temple Complex
as the World Heritage Site. Later proceed for visit
Sri Lankan monastery, the village of Sujata. The chants,
the meditating monks, and nuns add on to the spirituality
of the entire ambience of the Temple. Overnight stay
will be at the Hotel.
Day 7 Bodhgaya- Patna- Kolkata:
Early morning we shall depart for Patna, en-route
visit to Rajgiri and Nalanda. At arrival, you shall
be transferred to the hotel and later evening board
flight to Kolkatta.
Day 8: Kolkata:
Early morning we shall leave on sightseeing excursion
of Kolkatta, and visit Victoria Memorial. Later also
visit the Kali temple and enjoy the sweet delicacy of
Kolkatta- Sondesh and Rassgulla. Overnight shall be
spent in the Hotel.
Day 9 Kolkata- Bagdogara- Darjeeling:
After breakfast, we shall transfer to the airport
to board our flight to Bagdogra. After our arrival at
Bagdogra, we shall drive to Darjeeling, where our representatives
shall make the lodging facilities. Overnight shall be
spent at the hotel.
Day 10 Darjeeling:
Early morning, we shall leave to enjoy the scenic
beauty of Darjeeling, and tour to Tiger Hill to view
the spectacular sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak. On way
back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop. Later enjoy
a Toy Train ride upto Ghoom & return by Jeeps. Afternoon
go for a half-day sight seeing of Padmaja Naidu Himalayan
Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute
(Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tenzing & Gombu Rock,
Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday).
Overnight stay will be at Hotel.
Day 11 Darjeeling- Pelling (Pemayangtse)
After breakfast drive to Pelling (Pemayangtse).
Later leave for a sightseeing venture of Pemayangtse
monastery - It is one of the oldest monasteries of Sikkim.
Lama Lhatsun Chempo got the Monastery built, mainly
for the 'ta-sang' lamas (the purest of monks). Pemayangtse
Gompa of India boasts of a splendid collection of ancient
Buddhist antique idols, scriptures as well as sculptures
& Rabdantse Ruins. Overnight stay will be at the
Hotel.
Day 12 Pelling- Gangtok:
Early morning we shall drive to Gangtok. On arrival,
check in to a hotel, evening shall be free for leisure
activities. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 13 Gangtok:
After breakfast, depart for sightseeing of Rumtek
monastery- is one of the best locations for a quite
and peaceful atmosphere. The whole set is composed of
the main shrine-temple, the monastery, a retreat centre,
a monastic college (Shedra), a nuns' hostel, some Stupas.
In afternoon we shall visit the Enchey Monastery &
cottage Industry. Overnight stay will be at the Hotel.
Day 14 Gangtok- Kalimpong:
We shall continue our tour to our next destination
that is Kalimpong, a hill station nestled in the Shiwalik
hills, and a drive of 2 hrs will reach us to this beautiful
place.Overnight shall be spent at Kalimpong.
Day 15 Kalimpong- Bagdogra:
On time assistance and transfer to Bagdogra Airport
to board the flight to Delhi. At arrival you shall be
transferred to the hotel. Overnight stay will be at
the hotel.
Day 16 Departure from Delhi:
On time transfer to international airport to board
the flight for onward journey
