The Buddhist Circuit Tour as the name defines is an exclusive
tour package that will be on a route map of Delhi -
Sravasti - Lumbini - Kushinagar - Bodhgaya - Rajgir -
Nalanda - Bodhgaya - Sarnath - Varanasi - Delhi, covering
all the major Buddhist destination. The tour shall accomplish
in 9 Nights and 10 Days time.
Day 1: Delhi
Arrive at the Capital of India- Delhi; meet our representatives,
who will assist your transfer to the hotel for an overnight
stay.
Day 2: Sravasti
We shall leave for Sravasti from Delhi. Sravasti,
the capital of Kosala Mahajanapada , which was the biggest
town in the Gangetic plains during the Buddha's lifetime.
Saravasti was host to the Master for 25 years during
the annual vassavasa (rain retreat) when the Sangha
congregated at one place. Jetwana Gardens, Ananda Bodhi
tree, Angulimala Cave are other attraction. The ruins
of the past can be not only found in physical substance
but metaphorically in the minds of the people. Overnight
shall be spent at the hotel.
Day 3: Lumbini:
We shall drive to Lumbini - the birthplace of Lord
Buddha. In evening we shall leave for sightseeing tour
of Lumbini including a visit to the birth Place of Lord
Buddha. Mayadevi temple is the most popular temple of
this place. Overnight will be spent at the hotel.
Day 4: Kushinagar
After breakfast we shall drive to Kushinagar en-rout
visit to Vaishali where Gautam Buddha visited in the
fifth year after his attainment of Nirvana. Kashinagar
too holds a significant position in the Buddhist pilgrimage,
as it's a place where Lord Buddha died and attained
Parinirvana. Later proceed for the guided sightseeing
including, Mahaparinirvana Temple & Mukutbandhan
Stupa.
Day 5-6 Bodhgaya:
Early morning after breakfast we shall depart for
the most worshipped city for Buddhist- Bodhgaya. We
shall thus visit the Thai temple and the Mahabodhi temple
complex. Bodhgaya is a small town in Bihar where Buddha
attained enlightenment and now is the most important
place of Buddhist Pilgrimage, drawing people from across
the globe. UNESCO declares Mahabodhi Temple Complex
as the World Heritage Site. Later proceed for visit
Sri Lankan monastery, the village of Sujata. The chants,
the meditating monks, and nuns add on to the spirituality
of the entire ambience of the Temple. Overnight stay
will be at the Hotel.
Day 7: Rajgir, Nalanda, Bodhgaya:
Take the ropeway to Vultures Peak. Rajgir abodes
the Japanese built Vishwa Shanti Stupa. The small hill
grit town is covered with lush Green forest that adds
to the beauty of the place. Rajgir was the capital of
the Magadh Mahajanpad. Later we shall also visit Nalanda
where one can still find the ruins of the world-renowned
5th century CE Nalanda University. Overnight stay will
be stay will be at the Hotel.
Day 8: Sarnath
Dhamek Stupa, Dhammarjika Stupa, Mulagandha Kutti
Vihara, Museum, and Ashok Vihara will be the prime visits
for sightseeing. Overnight will be spent at the hotel.
Day 9: Varanasi
Ganges-Boat ride to view sunrise and also visit few
famous temple, in the land of lord Shiva, later board
flight to Delhi.
Day 10: Delhi:
Arrive at Delhi airport, here you shall be transferred
to the hotel where you can freshen up and later we shall
tour the New and Old Delhi, until evening we are transferred
to the airport for our departure.
