The 10 Days and 9 Nights Bumthang Cultural Trek is amongst
the fascinating adventure Tour in the valleys and Jungles
of Bhutan that will route map from Paro - Thimphu -
Trongsa - Bumthang - Ngang Lhakhang - Punakha - Paro.
This exotic adventure tour will not only leave you throttled
with the wild nature, but also take you on a venture where
exploring the cultural heritage will be an equally pleasing
experience.
Day 01-02: Arrive Paro
Arrive at Paro, which is the only active airport in Bhutan.
On arrival check into the hotel for overnight stay.
Following day we shall leave for a full day excursion
to various places. Among such site is located in the beautiful
valley it abodes Taktshang, most famous Buddhist monastery
of Bhutan. Jambay Lhakhang and Kyichu Lhakhang are the
oldest temples built around 7th century. Visit all these
important sites in Paro before you head towards a more
fascinating adventure tour. Overnight shall be spent at
the hotel in Paro.
Day 03 : Paro - Thimphu
Early morning we shall leave for Thimphu, the capital
city of Bhutan, en-route visit to the ancient fortress
of Simtokha Dzong. The most fascinating feature of Thimphu
is that it is amongst the two national capitals of Asia
that do not have Traffic lights. At arrival check into
the hotel and later depart for a half-day excursion
to the Memorial Chorten, THE national Library, and the
Buddha Dordenma statue which is the largest statue in
the world. Overnight shall be spent at the Hotel.
Day 04 : Thimphu - Trongsa
Early morning continue journey towards Trongsa via
Dochula pass. Enjoy the trip around Trongsa valley capturing
several peaks like Masagang, Tsendegang , Terigang,
Jejegangphugang, Kangphugang, Zongaphugang. It also
provide an exciting view of Dzong and the town. It is
an important secular and religious centre of Dzong,
who dominate the region. Visit the Trongsa Fortress and engage in some shopping spree like purchasing dyed
wool and woven carpets. Overnight will be at Trongsa.
Day 05 : Trongsa - Bumthang
After breakfast we shall head towards Bumtang that has
several ancient temples and sacred sites. At arrival,
check in to the hotel to grab some refreshments. Later
we shall depart for a sightseeing excursion of Bumthang.
We shall visit Membar Tsho (Burning Lake) where Guru
Rimpoche hid sacred scriptures. Also pay homage to the
Buddhist monasteries like the Kujey lhakhang, Jambey
Lhakhang, Tharpaleng Goemba and the 100 year old monastery
Sumthrang Lhakhag. Overnight shall be spent at the hotel
in Bumthang..
Day 06 : Bumthang - Ngang Lhakhang,
The trekking adventure starts on day six following
the route map of Chamkhar Chhu River along the meadows,
blue pines, and dense forests. It will be a fascinating
experience as we come across many villages and temples
getting an opportunity to explore their way of living.
We shall camp in a village for overnight stay.
Day 07 : Ngang Lhakhang - Ugyen Chholing
Early morning we shall say goodbye to the village
we camped at an move further with our trekking towards
Phephe-la pass (3,340m). From there, the trail descends
to Tang valley, finally arriving at Ugyen chholing village
(2,850m). Camp along the river, near the village for
overnight stay..
Day 08 : Ugyen Chholing - Bumthang
The day will begin with a walk to explore the Ugyen
chholing Palace, a stunning classified mansion that
also houses a small eco-museum. Later drive to Jakar
(Bumthang) following the Tang Chhu River until hitting
at the main road, En-route visit to the Membertsho Lake
where Terton Pemalingpa, is said to have discovered
religious treasures in the 12th century. This lake is
very sacred and on auspicious days many Bhutanese people
go there to light butter lamps. Overnight stay will
be at the lodge in Bumthang.
Day 09 : Bumthang - Punakha- Paro
The day shall begin to wind up the journey and we shall
drive towards Paro via Punakha. Overnight shall be spent
at Paro.
Day 10 Paro departure.
Depart from Paro for onward Journey.
