The east India is a rare explored part of India that is
full of fascinations and beauty. The charming Assam and
Arunachal Pradesh calls for an exotic trekking adventure exploring nature in the valleys of Himalayas and majestic
rivers. The 6 Nights and 7-day tour will take you on a
venture you experience never before. The route map
will stroll from Guwahati - Tezpur - Bomdila - Tawang
- Bomdila - Guwahati.
Day 01 : Guwahati
Arrive Guwahati, you shall be guided to the hotel, later
leave for a half-day excursion around the city. The Kamakhaya
temple dedicated to Goddess Kali, Umananda Temple is dedicated
to lord Shiva and is situated on the Peacock Island in
Brahmaputra River, Nabagaraha Temple- the temple of Nine
planet at Chitranchal hill is an ancient hub of astrology
and astronomy among the few tourist attraction in the
city. Overnight stay will be at the Hotel.
Day 02 : Tezpur
The ancient town along the banks of River Brahmaputra
Tezpur has many sightseeing options including the Mahabhairab
Temple, Da-Parbatia Gate, Cole park that has huge ornamental
stone pillars, Usha Kareng, Maha Bhairavi temple etc.
Our half day excursion will include visiting all these
important sites in Tezpur. Overnight stay will beat
the hotel.
Day 03: Bomdila
Early morning we shall proceed to Arunachal Pradesh,
reach Bomdila, a site famous for brilliant landscape,
and snow covered mountains stemming out from the Himalayan
Range. Bomdila is also renowned for some magnificent
Buddhist monasteries and gompas that one cannot afford
to miss.
Spend the evening in the Camp with local tribes and
explore their culture with friendly interactions.
Day 04 : Chandu-Thungri-Himalayas
After breakfast we shall head towards our next destination.
We shall trek to Chandu Camp via Thungri Plateau that
avail you with breathtaking panoramic views of mighty
Himalayas. We shall return to the hotel for overnight
stay.
Day 05 : Tawang-Sela Pass
Today we shall proceed towards 'East Himalayan Paradise'-
Tawang. This beautiful place is an important Buddhist
centre, and also home the Twang Monastery. The library
here contains rare handwritten and block printed Buddhist
manuscripts of immense religious value. The most prominent
attraction is the gold plated statue of Lord Buddha.
One can also indulge in some shopping spree as Tawang
has some beautiful masks, hand-woven carpets, Thangkas,
and silver jewelry. Overnight stay will be at the rest
house.
Day 06 : Bomdila-Jaswantgarh-Kangto-Nyegi Kangang-Govichen
After breakfast, we shall drive back to Bomdila.
En-route visit to 1962 Indo-China war memorial, at Jaswantgarh,
Kangto, Nyegi Kangang, Govichen. Check in to the hotel,
evening free for leisure activities, overnight shall
be spent at the hotel.
Day 07: Guwahati
In the morning, we shall drive back to Guwahati, en-route
visit to the Bhalukpung, the sylvan paradise of Assam.
Check into the hotel, grab some rest in the evening you
shall be transferred to the airport for onward journey.
