The Amarnath Yatra is a stride through exceptionally
enchanting route, which both physically and metaphorically
denotes a journey to meet the shinning glory and eternal
splendor of lord Shiva as the symbol of immortality and
absolute spirit of the universe.
The Amarnath Yatra Tour Package will follow a route map
from Srinagar - Pahalgam - Chandanwari - Sheshnag
- Panchtarni - Amarnath - Jammu that will accomplish in
8 nights and 9 days.
Day 01: Srinagar - Pahalgam
On your arrival in Srinagar, our representative will be
present to escort you at the airport. Then you will be
taken to Pahalgam by car and the journey will take about
10 hrs. After reaching Pahalgam, you will be escorted
to the hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 02: Pahalgam - Chandanwari
You shall depart from Pahalgam (Valley of Shepherds)
for Chandanwari. Pahalgam serves as the base for most
of the treks. Chandanwari, located at a height of 2896
meters, is a scenic valley at the junction of Sheshnag
stream and the stream for Astanmarg. During your 4-½
hrs trek, you will traverse a distance of about 16 km.
Dinner and overnight stay will be in tents at Chandanwari.
Day 03: Chandanwari - Sheshnag
Sheshnag (3576 meters) is located about 13 km from Chandanwari.
The winding trail climbs gradually to the Sheshnag Lake via the Pisu Ghati what is perhaps the toughest part
of the pilgrimage, denoting the path to salvation. Sheshnag
is one of the windiest places in this valley and has
a striking beauty that sets n the subtle water, even
enhanced in the moonlight. After trekking for about
5 hrs, we shall have dinner and retire for the night
in tents at Sheshnag.
Day 04: Sheshnag - Panchtarani
The fourth day we shall begin our journey ahead with
a 13 km trek from Sheshnag to Panchtarani (3657 meters)
that will be covered in about 5 hrs. The trek passes
through the Mahagunas Pass (3200 meters) on its way
to the green meadows of Panchtarani. At Panchtarni we
shall rest for the night in tents.
Day 05: Panchtarani - Amarnath - Sheshnag
Start early in the morning from Panchtarani and trek
to the Amarnath cave located only 6 km away. Take a
holy dip in the ice-cold water of Amarnath stream, which
flows outside the cave. Inside the tranquil ambience
of the cave, three massive Lingams symbolizing Lord
Shiva, Parvati and Ganesh stand erect among which the
central ice formation, rising to about 7 ft (however
is now at relaxation due to global warming effects)
and ending in glistening stone is the ice lingam of
Shiva. Trek back towards Sheshnag.
Day 06: Sheshnag - Pahalgam - Srinagar
From Sheshnag, descend down to Pahalgam via Chandanwari.
On your arrival in Pahalgam, you will be driven to Srinagar.
In Srinagar you will get to have dinner and spend the
night aboard one of the famous houseboats.
Day 07: In Srinagar
In the morning you will leave for sightseeing of Mughal
Gardens and the Nishat Bagh (Abode of pleasure) built
in 1632 AD by Asif Khan, brother in law of Jehangir.
The itinerary will also include Shalimar Bagh (Abode
of love) built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor
Jehan. All these beautiful gardens are situated on the
bank of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains in the
background. After lunch, you will take a Shikara ride
on the Dal Lake visiting floating and vegetable gardens
etc. Dinner and overnight stay will be in deluxe houseboats.
Day 08: In Srinagar
You can spend the day as you wish. You may go on a shopping
spree and indulge in individual activities. Dinner and
overnight stay will be in houseboats.
Day 09: Srinagar - Jammu
Early morning transfer to TRC/Airport to drive back to
Jammu or fly Jammu/Delhi.
